A Tucson Cowboy and Cowgirl Have Their Western Themed Wedding at a Ranch Venue In Southern Arizona That Holds Treasured Memories!
Seth spent a lot of time here at our ranch near Tucson when he was a kid and he came back to say "I do" with a western themed wedding at our venue!
When I heard that Seth was engaged, I was thrilled!
I knew that our farm venue was a cherished place for Seth, but hearing that he wanted no other place to have his wedding, well... that was incredibly touching.
Seth; "Growing up and going down to the farm with friends and family are among the best memories of my life. I remember really learning how to ride horses there... The farm feels like home and there was nowhere else I wanted to have my wedding."
The Proposal
Their proposal was a true reflection of their love for simplicity and family. Unable to afford an extravagant ring or location, Seth decided to propose during one of their favorite activities: horseback riding!
He invited both of their families to join them and they all mounted up for a trail ride. After a 45-minute desert ride to a creek destination in Tucson, the group paused to take some photos. In the middle of the picture-taking, Seth got down on one knee and proposed. It was intimate, heartfelt, and surrounded by the people (and horses!) who mattered most to them.

Seth had no doubt that he had found the woman he wanted to spend the rest of his life with, and he knew exactly where he wanted their wedding to take place. The only challenge was convincing his bride-to-be.
One visit to Agua Linda Farm, and Jess was sold!
The farm venue checked all the boxes: it was close to Tucson, it was beautiful, lush, private, would perfectly complement their western cowboy/cowgirl theme, but, most importantly, when Jess inquired about bringing her horses to the venue for their special day, the answer was an enthusiastic "yes" from me! ( I, too am a horse lover!). We have have our own horses here at our venue so there was plenty of space for theirs! On the day of the wedding, a family member was recruited to trailer their two favorite geldings from Tucson to be a part of the wedding day!
Western Wedding Theme
Seth: "The style of our wedding was very western. Both Jess and myself wanted to bring the life we live to our wedding so our friends and family could get a glimpse. With that, we also wanted our wedding to feel like home. Our biggest goal was for the whole day to be as relaxed as possible. Horses are our love and passion, so having them at the wedding and there for the photos was important to us. Our horses are basically our kids.
With 63 acres of pastures dotted with cattle and horses AND incredible mountain views, Agua Linda Farm was the PERFECT venue for the theme of their wedding!
Seth: The motorcycles are a passion of mine and my friends that attended so I had to have all the bikes lined up next to the ceremony. Another big part of the wedding was the photos of both my grandfather and Jess' grandfather. They both passed away when we were young. They both meant a lot to us, this is how we were able to have them there with us.
Seth's groomsmen drove their motorcycles down from Tucson on the wedding day and arrived at the venue, rumbling down the driveway! They lined the bikes up along the garden path behind the ceremony.
In addition to horses and motorcycles, blue and brown bandanas were hung on a rustic wall at the ceremony entrance with a sign that said, "Cowboys Don't Cry". Colors were turquoise blue and chocolate brown. The bride wore cowgirl boots and the cake was topped with a figurine of two riders on horse back. Cowhide rugs, turquoise accents, horseshoes frosted on the cake and rustic decor completed the western theme.
Groomsmen wore jeans, cowboy boots, vests and, of course, cowboy hats! The ladies also wore cowgirls boots - perfect for the theme but also easy on the feet - especially at an outdoor event!
Seth: For our unity ceremony we wanted to be a little different. We decided to use our new (custom) branding iron to mark the start of our marriage by branding a cowhide rug. This was also our first time using the brand.
The second time they used their brand...
I invited the couple to be the first to brand the new frame around the entrance to our western cantina!
Seth: My favorite part of my wedding was being able to spend a milestone moment in my life with my now wife, friends, and family. We can’t say enough how great our wedding was.
We also couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful venue.
